Yes. It is always advisable, especially if booking on busy nights. We are a busy restaurant and willalways endeavour to fit you in but please book to avoid disappointment. Tel. 01223 353110
Our maximum party size is 60. We have various private rooms in which one can have smaller parties.
You can. We are one of the very few establishments close to the city centre that serves local real ale.
We welcome children of any age in the restaurant. We have a children’s menu. We do however request children to be well behaved, seated and other customers to be considered.
Yes, we have excellent facilities on the ground floor.
There is public pay-and-display parking directly opposite the restaurant on Pound Hill. The charge is 50p for 30 minutes maximum stay 2 hours, free after 6pm. Alternatively pay and display can be found on Mount Pleasant (maximum stay 8 hours.) Madingley Road Park and Ride also stops within 50 metres of the restaurant.
We have tables to the front of the restaurant and a courtyard area to the rear which is a real sun trap in summer.

St. John's Chop House, like Cambridge Chop House, produces classic British dishes and has local real ales direct from the cask. The 17th Century brick building has wood burning fireplaces and naturally aged beams. Upstairs there are three cosy private dining rooms and downstairs is split between a bar and an inviting restaurant area.
